Ultratech® Catch Basin Oil & Debris Blocker can stop pollutants before they can reach stormwater outflow.
The Ultra-Oil & Debris Blocker is a simple yet effective stormwater management product that installs in the outflow pipe of catch basins.
By forcing water to enter the pipe from the bottom of the Oil & Debris Blocker, floating trash and debris are kept on the water's surface while dirt and sediment sink to the bottom of the basin. Only clean water passes through to the outflow.

What is the Ultra-Oil & Debris Blocker made from? Will it rust or corrode?
The Oil & Debris Blocker is an all-polyethylene unit and will not rust or corrode.
What am I supposed to do with the trash/debris/sand/pollutants that get trapped in the catch basin?
Typically, the catch basin would be cleaned out periodically by a vacuum truck.
Is the Ultra-Oil & Debris Blocker difficult to install?
The most challenging part of installing an Oil & Debris Blocker is usually getting into the catch basin. Once inside, the unit can be installed without any tools as it is designed to be held in place by tension.

Does the Oil & Debris Blocker restrict water flow?
Because of the product's design, the Oil & Debris Blocker will reduce the catch basin's flow rate by a small amount. The maximum restriction is 10% but 2-3% is more typical.
